Moonloops is the mind of 24-year-old singer-songwriter Sarah Dekker. Armed with a beaten-up guitar and an old MacBook she started recording and producing her own songs in her bedroom back in 2020. Since then, Moonloops has soared beyond her bedroom, recording her EP Little Astronaut in 2022 with Mister and Mississippi's Tom Broshuis, elevating her magical songs to a whole new level. With over 12,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Moonloops has outgrown the bedroom and is ready to share the stories in her head, face to face with the world and the people who inspire her. Her EP “Little Astronaut” came online this spring; an autobiographical record that explores themes such as home, loneliness, friendship, misunderstanding and love with magical songs that keep haunting you. The B-side to this EP called "Big Dreams" was released in January of 2024 and showcased the trademark Moonloops sound: beautiful melodies, accompanied by intricate guitar and piano parts, as well as haunting vocal harmonies. Both her DIY roots and her big dreams are reflected in this new chapter of her growth as a young adult and musician.
